Autumn Update

Saturday Coaching

We’re now back at Hetton for Saturday coaching sessions after the Summer Break.  We’ve moved to our off-road programme which means sessions will be based on the field and around the tracks in Hetton Lyons Park covering all the key skills.  Sessions are for all club riders.

Cyclo-cross Training

In addition we are also running Cyclo-cross specific training sessions on a Wednesday evening at Meadowfiled Sports Centre.  These sessions are aimed at riders who are looking to improve their techniques and fitness for racing CX and can be quite demanding along with being great fun.  Sessions are for category C, B, A and Juniors.  If you want to know more about these sessions please do not hesitate to speak to one of our Coaches.

Volunteers Needed!

CXNE Round 5

We will be hosting Round 7 of the CXNE Championship on 31st October.  Please visit the sign up page or see club officials at a coaching session if you are able to help at the event.  We will need an army of helpers to set out the course early on the Sunday morning, followed by help marshalling the event and race and finally people to help pack away once we’re finished.  The club has a solid history of supporting these events, not to mention putting on a top class day of racing for our riders to enjoy.

AGM

Look out for formal announcement in the coming week for our Annual General Meeting.  This is an important date in our calendar and an opportunity to get involved in the running of the club.  We will be holding the event after our initial block of coaching on a Saturday morning toward the end of October.

That’s all for the moment.  All events are on our Events Page and get ready for the mud!
