2016 Winter Roller Training Sessions

Roller riding is a “must have” skill for any Hetton rider who wants to improve their cycling.  Some say it’s the better than reality TV and some say it’s just bonkers – but whatever your view, riding rollers well will impress your non-cycling friends and put doubt into the minds of your rivals!  Learning to train effectively indoors has never been more sensible during the Winter months as it’s cold, wet and windy outside.

The Hetton roller programme will take you through the Winter with each Wednesday’s stimulating session held in a convivial environment of organised shouting, encouragement and actual help to master the art of the roller from the coaching team and helpers.  This is a members only event.  Please see the Joining Instructions for full details and send me your Registration Form.  DO NOT just turn up with rollers, please note that we have had to make some alterations to help the sessions run more smoothly.  The club has also had to pay The Hetton Centre a deposit to secure against damage to the hall.

Register by mailing me your form and make sure your bike and rollers are clean.  Bring a training mat (e.g. available here or at local sports shops) as this is now mandatory to protect the floor.  Costs and details are all on the joining instructions form.

Last year’s programme was very successful – we had 27 riders registered and most did 75% of the sessions.  Come and take part, you know it makes sense!
