CHANGE OF VENUE – Performance Clinic – 7-9pm Thursday April 14th, The Hetton Centre, Hetton-le-Hole

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE

The first Hetton Performance Clinic session will run as per the title above.  This is an introductory session to outline the type of services that will be available.  The club committee and coaching group have agreed a general approach which sits under a working title of “Learn to Train”.  It builds on exploratory work we have done in the past.  We plan to run the clinics monthly, with a published schedule when we have consulted with riders and parents at this event.

Club members who are current Youth B category and above, excepting adult family members.  Parents are encouraged to attend.  We regret that younger members are not eligible – the club policy is that Youth C riders and younger ones should be learning to ride and trying racing.  This initiative is aimed at older riders who are already skilled and have experience of racing or competitive events such as sportive or enduro riding.

Some of the services we can offer are restricted to the time and availability of our volunteer coaches, but we will be able to offer a number of riders 1:1 coaching support and field testing facilities to help with training.  We will also offer a position clinic from time to time.

We intend to have guest speakers on various topics.  This first session will run as follows and allows for interaction between riders, parents and coaches on the night so that we can understand the rider perspective and needs.
